The weekend's events

What a hectic/ stressful weekend, but finally the pups' have stabilised and are all putting on weight. Journey is being a trooper (she really, really doesn't like puppies!). But she does whatever I ask of her, and she lies there and takes the abuse.... Of course she doesn't clean puppies, or see to their needs other than feeding them (which I help with), so my faithful G has stepped in to assist with some of it.

I have been supplementing the pups that weren't picking up weight. I am so glad that they didn't mind the bottle!

The pups' dewclaws were supposed to be removed on Saturday (2 days old) but I postponed it another day to make sure they were all strong enough. Three of the pups had hind dew claws too! The experience was not too traumatic at all.

Pups are all doing well, and seem happy and strong!

Journey is being treated for a little mastitis, but other than that she is a happy chappy!
