Sheltie sizes

It is very difficult to gauge what size a Sheltie will be as an adult... and very difficult to breed the "perfect dog". They change so much and sizes vary to a HUGE degree!

So breeders like to use charts to keep track of their pups' growth - it's in no way fool proof, but does seem an accurate enough guide. I will be measuring my pups from 6 weeks and making a note of weekly measurements (then monthly measurements until they are adults, to see the finished size).

Ideally the first measurement (at 6 weeks) needs for be between 17 and 20cm in order to have the best shot at a good size. Here's hoping!

I will be doing the WINGS officially this evening.....
