Christmas Eve

While I change the bedding in the puppies area, Journey is a good girl and feeds the babies on a blanket on the floor...

We also went outside for the first time on Sunday. This wasn't met with much enthusiasm!
I put the pen up in half sun and half shade, with a blanket and some water. They weren't that charmed and didn't like the grass. So I popped Journey in so that they could have a quick snack, then back inside after that.

 

Much happier back inside!

Saturday - Extended living area

I removed one of the sides of the whelping box and opened up the width of the room to the babies - they were pretty pleased! They are now run-wobbling around quite quickly!

 

It's a SHELTIE Christmas!

Food!

With their mum being so terrible with feeding I decided to try this lot on some food today. I made up a very runny dish of Hills Healthy Development and they like it!

The pups have really taken to the teddy bear :)

Their first tunnel was added this week and they like it!

I added another surface today - a balance cushion - they were most intrigued!

At bedtime they are given the choice of a blanket, or blanket on heating pad, or a fur bed... guess which wins!?

Sunday

We are now walking around quite well in the box, barking and trying to get my attention!

We also got a teddy bear today... and met him with such interest!

Poo.........

Oh how I hate deworming day.... I was greeted with loads of poo smeared throughout the box yesterday UGH! It's always softer on deworming day, not nice neat little packages as usual, so easy to smear as they crawl around the box...
Not even G or Tide would help out... the pups were smeared with poo, the blankets, the sides of the box..... eish So there were multiple cleanups with the washing machine on overtime! Even the pups had to have little baths...
