To all the prospective puppy owners, I thought that you would like to see the photographs, videos, and updates of the Mackland puppies while they are still with me. These Border Collie & Shetland Sheepdog puppies are lovingly bred and raised in my home. This blog lets me show you step by step how your baby is raised. It highlights each step from mating to 8 weeks old. I hope that you all enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoy having them in my house!

COLOURS Litter
Some words from Sam who is expecting the COLOURS litter in 15 days:)
So, I thought I would share my experiences of Rebels pregnancy. After all we are part of the Mackland family and support each other through all the ups and downs! It has been quite an emotional rollercoaster ride. It all started with the anticipation of her scan and then the excitement once she was confirmed pregnant. Then the excitement continued, waiting to see her body changes, waiting to feel puppies move and then waiting for the birth. Her tummy has grown and it has been such an experience noticing all the changes. For a few weeks now every night she lies next to me on her back for a tummy rub. I rub her tummy while chatting to her and the babies. She feels content and we have built such an amazing friendship and I know that she trusts me completely. After our tummy rub she hops of the bed and finds her spot in the shower. She is always looking at me for food and she seems to think the fridge is a vending machine.... u look at it and a chicken neck goes down the gullet! At times I feel sad, I miss my mischievious, hooligan rebeliciousness that used to race around the house, terrorising everyone and being on bird control...birds are not allowed on the roof. But i have assured her when the babies leave the nest we will get back to our agility fun! So the excitement continues while we guess how many, what colours, what sexes...but I pray that these babies are all healthy and that Rebel gets through this as strong as the girl she is. So the next step is the birth...+-17 days to go. Until then we will continue with the tummy rubs, we will continue chatting to the babies and Rebel will continue eating me out of house and home! I better go...her pre-dinner fish is calling!
