To all the prospective puppy owners, I thought that you would like to see the photographs, videos, and updates of the Mackland puppies while they are still with me. These Border Collie & Shetland Sheepdog puppies are lovingly bred and raised in my home. This blog lets me show you step by step how your baby is raised. It highlights each step from mating to 8 weeks old. I hope that you all enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoy having them in my house!

Lunch today
Lunch today for pups and mommies.... Payday had better come soon as I am being eaten out of house and home by G... she devours anything at the moment! Afternoon tea will be liver and rice, supper is pellets and more fish, and then tomorrow's breakfast is boiled egg on pellets....
Later this week, meaty bones all round, including puppies!
Update - Wings and Sweets
The Wings and Sweets enjoyed a nice pumpkin treat this weekend. They dug in so fast that I feared that I would lose the bowl too!
They also have new digs - bigger and grander!
The Sweets have had their second deworming, so this morning I had to redo their entire pen as they had made such a mess :(

New digs!
The Wings have had their second deworming, and are now eating up a storm. They are loving the Hills! They have sharp little teeth already!
Moms have been having 5 meals a day (Journey's much smaller as she hardly lifts a finger and is getting a little porky!) G is enjoying extra chicken hearts, and today is getting liver and rice stew on her Hills! Then tea time is a boiled egg for each (Journey almost swallows this whole, but dainty G takes her time and crumbles it all over the floor first....
I have put up a small pen on the other side of the room for mealtimes - this is the - dirty area, as they walk through it and then plaster the place with food. So I put the babies in there in 2 batches with the food dish while I change the bedding etc in their main area.
Every time G goes missing I look in the crate inside the new digs, and there she is spending time with all the babies! Last night I put Journey in the new area and it took her 45 minutes to figure out how to jump out..... I say nothing.....

Microchips
The 8 microchips have arrived! They will be inserted in 2 weeks time (Wings) and 3 weeks time (Sweets)
Thoughts on the pups
WINGS - 4 weeks old
All 3 babies are looking mighty nice!
The girls will be in show homes - one exported to Aus and 1 to Cape Town. I am undecided about the boy. It looks like he will need a show home too, so it's either keep him or place him somewhere special. Mackland may want him at stud later.
Harry Potter Sweets - 3 weeks old
I am loving these babies! It was my only way to save my precious Q's line, and I am interested to see how they turn out with a dash of American added.
So far I have my eye on 2 pups - Shade and Coffee (but that can always change), These resemble dad the most. Blaze is the "middle child" and Flame and Treasure are more petite like mom.
I can only start allocating once I know more about their personalities. So far all 3 WINGS are outgoing and playful.
