To all the prospective puppy owners, I thought that you would like to see the photographs, videos, and updates of the Mackland puppies while they are still with me. These Border Collie & Shetland Sheepdog puppies are lovingly bred and raised in my home. This blog lets me show you step by step how your baby is raised. Happy New Year
Happy New Year, everyone!
The Sheltie breeding plans are coming along nicely - I decided to add just one more test, and then we are set.
The show year starts at the end of Feb, and Reece and Journey are growing coat, even in this hot weather! Unfortunately Finn has knocked a tooth out over the holidays, so her chances in the ring aren't that great :(

SEASON's GREETINGS
Upcoming plans at Mackland:
Plans are under way for pups in 2016. There are, so far, 3 confirmed litters (all sheltie litters) with 2 matings planned around April, and 1 litter around June. These litters are:
Lexi x Reece
G x Reece
Dollar x Reece
A fourth litter is also on the cards (Journey x Tide/ Reece) but testing is still under way and this litter is still to be confirmed.
Unfortunately, even though there is quite a list for border collie puppies, there are no confirmed BC litters for 2016. Plans are up and down, and health tests still need to be completed on some dogs.
There are plans, however, for Mackland boys to be used on outside bitches (both shelties and border collies).
I will update as soon as there is more news.

Reece has already achieved Champion status in South Africa after just 5 shows!

PLEASE NOTE
If you applied for a Border Collie a year ago or earlier, I am wiping my lists clean. you are still on record, but no longer on my active list. Anyone that wants to apply/ wait for a Border Collie puppy for 2016, please ask me to get onto my active list/ download the application form from my website: www.mackland.co.za
I have retained 1 name, my UK applicant that is moving to Cape Town, you know who you are.
SHELTIES:
All Sheltie lists are active, with preference being given to the 1x Export (Aus), you know who you are, as well as those that have already invested in my line directly.
There will be 3x sheltie litters in 2016, and perhaps 1x Border Collie litter.

Saturday was BATH day! It all went well, except for Mermaid and Blot's performances! And we had 1 escape artist... West! hehe
