These Border Collie & Shetland Sheepdog puppies are lovingly bred and raised in my home. This blog lets me show you step by step how your baby is raised. Nicknames
...ok so all the pups have nicknames, and if they don't get names soon they will actually respond to these... as it stands, when I shout out all the names they come charging hhehe

Personalities are growing
The pups are changing every day.
I am pleased that the boy is getting a bit more serious. He was left alone for a minute last night as I put the pups to bed 2 at a time, and he didn't scream blue murder. He stood patiently waiting for me ont he lawn, good boy! Lime girl has become very active. She is still very affectionate and friendly and is a little sweetheart. Teal girl gets more active by the day - she sits on her hindquarters and balances in a 'beg' for attention! Always trying to find a way out of the pen to go an explore. She is in the lead for performance at 4.5 weeks. Yellow girl has started liking affection (previously she didn't want to be touched or picked up). She is a chunky monkey, but really delicious to look at :)
Little red is beginnind to be cheeky! She barks at stuff and bounces around and darts from 1 side of thep en to the other to get attention. A little livewire! But at present she doesn't like change too much so will be having extra time out of the pen today and tomorrow.

Training
The toilet training has begun!
Today in the new pen, the puppies only wee'd on the newspaper but went to the grass for the rest. I am so pleased with them! They are learning the feel of the grass under their paws and choosing to go on there.
This weekend they will do some surface training, as well as some baby chasing-tugging games. We will also introduce some new sounds to the babies on Saturday.
Then, also on Saturday a new visitor, and on Sunday they will meet a young child! So, lots of handling coming up!

So today we have a small pen on the deck, with a dog bed and pod, and a tunnel down to the grass :)

New outside pen
I put up a new pen for the babies last night. Shame they were cooped up indoors all day because of the maid and the mowers, so once the pen was up (and it was such a lovely evening), I let them loose for 30 minutes and they loved it!
They are out this morning, having a ball!
Mom jumped in to have a look and they bombarded her!

Personalities
The personalities are starting to emerge...
So far this is what I see:
Teal - Miss personality, Miss playful - the first one to play and her tail wags constantly. The first pup out of the blocks to get my attention as the Agility puppy.
Yellow - Miss naughty playful, growly girl that likes to tug bedding. Hates cuddles!
Boy - Biggest puppy, stuffy cry baby. Likes to sit on his own. Arrives late to the titty bar but pushes everyone aside to have a drink! He likes cuddles!
Lime - The sweetest puppy, likes cuddles, pretty quick on her feet
Red - Miss eyecatching, smallest puppy, demands attention, wants to get out from any confinement

First training
This week will see the first training of the pups!
Some are carrying toys around, and some are dragging things around
So I am starting with 2 "toys"
Firstly a set of feathers on a string
Followed by a furry chaser!
