So... finally at 10 days into the litter I was able to SLEEP! I did a full stretch of 6 hours last night!
Each night I have been doing a 10pm feed, then set my alarm for a 1am feed, and a 4am feed, and again at 7am. To say I have been buggered is an understatement!!
Yesterday afternoon I was in the lounge on my PC, when I heard weird sucking noises. I got up and crept into the whelping room and found Journey IN the box (!!!) and feeding her babies. I almost fainted! This has honestly NEVER happened! I have seen her lick a puppy on 3 occasions in the last week.... but this left me speechless!!
The Australian Shepherd, V, and the Shelties Tide and G are still cleaning the pups, but at least this is progress!
The terrible, terrible mother is now just a "bad mother"............
